Drivers and service tools

Drivers are necessary for normal work of protected application. It is a kind of conductor between a protected application and a dongle. Before running the protected application it is recommended to ensure that driver is installed and functions correctly.

The best way is to use the latest driver version in order to avoid conflicts with the newest computer hardware.

Guardant 32-bit driver is necessary for the protected application under 32-bit Microsoft Windows operating system (x86). Download, unpack archive and install the driver. After the installation successfully finished plug in dongle.

Guardant 64-bit driver is necessary for the protected application under 64-bit Microsoft Windows operating system (x64). Download and unpack archive, then install the driver. After the installation finished plug in dongle.

Guardant Net server provides access from a protected application to Guardant network dongle within a local network. One server is able to deal with number of dongles. More than one server can run in a network.

The server together with driver must be installed on the computer in which Guardant Net dongle is plugged. It can run both as a common interactive application and as a system service.

The following files are included:

  • GrdSrv.exe — Guardant Net server itself;
  • GrdSrv.ini — this file contains Guardant Net settings. It must be in a directory with GrdSrv.exe;
  • GnClient.ini — this file contains protected application (client) network settings. It must be in a directory with protected executable of application;
  • GrdMon.exe — network browser for Guardant Net servers monitoring and diagnostics;
  • Admins_Manual.pdf — administration manual for setup and maintenance of Guardant Net server.

Guardant Developer’s Kit

Guardant DevKit tools provide functionality both for dongles programming and protection modules embedding. It enables developers to create protection mechanisms with any level of complexity.

Quick installation guide

Download and unpack an archive with the last version of SDK. In order to start installation run Setup.exe and follow the instructions. After installation completed plug the dongle.

A leaflet with access codes is needed to install operational SDK. If you do not have one then Demo access codes can be used. It is generally known and will be set up automatically.

Automatic protection tools
Automatic protection toolkit provides an easy access to a range of sophisticated executable code protection techniques. It includes both .NET and Win32 executable profiling and processing tools.

Dongle programming tools
These utilities provide a graphical interface for creation and editing licenses. It also allows developer to write licenses into dongles and maintain the customers’ database.

Guardant API libraries and usage samples
Guardant API includes libraries for different programming languages and development environments. It also includes samples of dealing with dongles for C/C++, Delphi, C#, VB, Java and some other languages.
